Bookkeeper & Payroll Accountant

Full-time | Senior

We are looking for a Bookkeeper & Payroll Accountant to join our finance team.

This position combines payroll management, bookkeeping, and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with Israeli regulations.

Responsibility

  • Full ownership of payroll preparation- (Collect and update data into the payroll system, perform validation, and make payments).
  • Preference for experience with Michpal or Hilan systems. The role includes leading the implementation of our payroll system for the first time.
  • Establish bookkeeping at Pazu - Support implementation of financial systems (Priority – advantage).
  • Manage payments to international consultants and oversee the process (via invoices).
  • Oversee pension and employee benefits processes.
  • Handle vendor payments (local & global), supplier contracts, and monthly expense tracking.
  • Issue customer invoices and support monthly and annual financial closings.
  • Communicate with tax authorities (VAT, Income Tax, and Social Security).

Requirements

  • 4+ years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in high-tech or global companies).
  • Certified Bookkeeper – Level 2 required (Level 3 advantage).
  • Certified Payroll Accountant – required.
  • Strong English and Excel skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Israeli payroll rules.
  • Reliable, Excellent communication, detail-oriented, organized, and a strong team player.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • 80% position, on-site in Yokneam.
